FACTORY OPERATIVE - BRAINTREE - PERMANENT POSITION
We are looking for a factory operative to join a busy processing plant in Braintree. This is a family-owned company with a product which is exported internationally.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be expected to work in an extremely dirty environment due to the product specification. Shower facilities are provided for all staff ensuring that you can leave absolutely clean.
As part of the factory team, you will have to produce work of the highest level therefore it is vital that you have exceptional attention to detail. Other responsibilities include:
- Ensuring quality of product is always to the highest standard
- Making sure the production line is running efficiently and seamlessly at all times
- Working constantly and be able to replicate a high standard of quality in all areas of the factory including the product and packaging lines
- To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required
It is essential that candidates have a forklift licence, (preferably counterbalance) as you will be required to manoeuvre around a small factory floor safely and competently. This is a labour intensive role and candidates will be required to lift up to 25kgs on a regular basis. Other skills include:
- Ability to work to meet tight deadlines
- Keen eye for detail
- Reliable and Punctual
- Good work ethic
- Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is essential
This is a permanent position offering a long term career for the successful candidate, the hours of work are Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5.00. Other benefits consist of:
- Full PPE, and uniform
- Shower facilities Inc. all towels and shower gels
- Hot and cold drinks are provided
- Good salary, which will increase after the completion of probation period
