Our client is one of the leading full service firms in the South East, with two offices in Sussex. Their Brighton office is currently going through a strong period of expansion as they look to regain their once strong hold on this city.
As part of their full service offering they have a ranked Family team in Chambers and Legal 500. This team is looking to hire someone from NQ up to 4PQE.
The range of work will include areas such as divorce, matrimonial arbitration, pre-nuptial agreements, Children Act and cohabitation disputes etc (no mediation). There is already a case load of work available for you to start running with from day-one but obviously you would still need to be motivated around business development within the Brighton region.
There will be ad hoc travel to London but this won't be a regular or frequent but on an as-and-when basis e.g. for court hearings, team meetings. The Head of Family who this role will report in to will split their time between Brighton and London. You will therefore have to be looking for a role where you can be fairly self-sufficient and confident in your capability as well as taking a real hands on approach with your work.
