Test Technician

Due to expansion and growth, this company are looking for a Test Technician to join their team. The role will be varied and, for the right candidate, could go permanent.
Test Technician Requirements:
- Previous experience of testing and fault finding to component board-level, sub-assembly and finished instrument testing
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of electronic test and diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, DVMs etc
- You should be able to follow basic and complex written instructions for testing and assembling pre-production assemblies
- A keen interest in Electronics / Electronic Engineering and ability to work efficiently and accurately, as this work can be quite repetitive
Test Technician Responsibilities:
- The Test Technician will be required to carry out a variety of test work to standard company procedures
- Candidates will be required to use various test equipment to test down to board level
- Candidates will be required to do fault diagnosis of test related issues and then report failures to the repairs team in the form of completed diagnostics forms and reports
- Provide technical feedback for the production, quality and repair teams
- Assist in other departments as and where required. This could include wiring, soldering and assembly
The contract would be for an initial 3 month period, with the possibility of it becoming a permanent role, depending on production requirements.
