Summary of the role
A well-established, expanding training provider are currently looking for experienced and engaging Functional Skills Tutors to support young learners (NEETS) on their journey into the world of work or further training..
Key Responsibilities
• To deliver functional skills English and Maths along with employability skills to learners
• To conduct inductions, progress reviews, contribute to curriculum development
• To carry out inductions, initial assessment, and formulate individual learning plans
• Allocate learners to specific programmes that best meet their needs
• Providing IAG and pastoral support to learners
• Prepare and deliver teaching programmes, schemes of work, lesson plans and prepare innovative resources
• To prepare and implement embedded Functional Skills relevant to vocational needs.
Candidate requirements
• Teaching qualification and experience is essential
• Design and delivery of functional skills is essential
• Experience delivering employability skills would be an advantage
• Experience of IAG & pastoral support is essential
