Our client is the market leader in providing advanced energy solutions. They are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join the team in Stafford on a 7 month contract.
The Role
* Provide Edesign support and/or leadership for modality components and ??subsystems.
* Leads design visualization efforts with 3D CAD models and essential component and assembly details to explore multiple design options.
* Develops innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability.
* Develops engineering design concepts for components and electromechanical assemblies for size, precision, reliability and cost.
Main responsibilities:
* Mechanical design of Power electronic converter modules for HVDC,
* Mechanical design of support structures,
* Integration with other engineering departments,
* Reviewing mechanical designs,
* Write technical specifications and other documents for proving the relevant design,
* Approving drawings and design documentation,
You
Ideally you will be/have
* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience or a Master's degree with 1 to 5 years of experience
* Proven experience of the industrial product mechanical design,
* A sound understanding of the application and behavior of materials, including composites, is essential.
* Candidates should be familiar with modern 3D-CAD tools (Pro-Engineer, Creo 2 or over, and Windchill PDMlink 4 or over)
