FMCG Food Manufacturer
A leading FMCG Manufacturer is currently seeking a Project Engineer to manage business improvement and capital projects from inception through to design, costing, commissioning and all to be delivered on time and in budget. In addition to capital projects, you will identify to enhance existing processes through re-engineering innovation and introduction of new technologies and processes.
You will ideally be an engineering graduate with a minimum of 5 years relevant industrial experience, FMCG Food & Drink Manufacturing would be deemed highly desirable, however other FMCG or Manufacturing experience will be considered.
This role is predominately based at their site in Cumbria, but will also cover their two other GB Manufacturing sites based in Scotland and Wales, so a full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
Group Project Engineer responsibilities include:
Deliver capital projects within the approved budget and timescale that meet all specified performance criteria.
Provide assistance to the sites in the identification and delivery of performance, cost improvement and other non-capital projects in support of the business objectives.
Completion of project feasibility studies, including scope, costs, payback etc.
Preparation of capex proposals and documentation.
Complete regular reports on the progress of capital and other delegated projects.
Procurement of equipment, engineering and other technical services that is required for all projects.
Developing knowledge of external and new technologies for enhancement of product quality, improved efficiencies and cost savings.
Provide engineering support as required by GB manufacturing sites.
