gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Lean Coordinator to work at their facility based near Exeter
Performance Objectives
* Hands-on implementation: Work with areas to implement lean systems, train area managers, supervisors, and operators, and run projects during start-up phase. Work with operators on shift to ensure the system is well designed and functioning before extending the system.
* Train and educate key personnel in lean principles and methodology. Both through the formal training sessions and ongoing reinforcement of lean principles.
* Provide the support and guidance necessary to successfully implement improvements.
* Projects and coordinate the CI implementation efforts.
* Act as a central reference point for information and help in all aspects of continuous improvement. Advise and help to run Kaizen events covering business systems as well as shop floor activities.
* Contain the cost of CI tool implementation projects and capital expense when needed for the project
* Provide the support and guidance necessary to successfully implement lean at HEC.
* Assume direct operations leadership role during start-up phase of newly created improvement projects, hands-on implementation of the project during start-up phase
* Advise and help to run Kaizen events covering business systems as well as shop floor activities
Person Specification
* Broad understanding of and experience in Manufacturing
* Thorough understanding and knowledge of lean principles, Kaizen, Facilitation skills
* Good Communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels
* Ability to manage projects to achieve set targets
* Good motivational ability and proven track record of turning theory into practical implementation
