SALARY: GBP40,000-GBP45,000

JOB SPECIFICATION - Product Manager - Consumer Durable
We are part of a multi-billion dollar group; a market leader in the design and manufacture of environmentally-responsible sink appliances. We have grown 50% in the last three years and continue to expand in the UK and Europe. The UK market is the largest of the European markets and is the head-quarters for all European activity with manufacturing facilities in the US and Italy. The business has approximately an 85% share of the US market and has been growing in the UK and Europe for over 10 years; it boasts an equally impressive market share.
This brand new role will report to the European Marketing Manager and will take responsibility for managing the development and introduction of the new product concepts, you will also manage 2 current product range portfolios to optimise market share and range profitability.
REQUIREMENTS - Product Manager - Consumer Durable
* Relevant degree qualification.
* Knowledge of new product development and full product life cycle.
* Broad Marketing background.
* Strong project management experience.
* Experience in Consumer Goods industry would be ideal but is not essential.
* An enthusiastic and 'hands-on` personality with excellent communication and presentation skills.
* The successful candidate will become the 'voice` for the European subsidiary for new product introduction.
* Good team player while being able to set own work schedule
* Good knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point
* European languages would be an advantage
* Willing to travel upon request
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Explore and develop new product from the market trend analysis, briefs to the US headquarters through to market launch in the UK, Europe and Russia.
* Develop a strong relationship with the US headquarters to lead and monitor the relevant new product development projects and pro-actively solve problems with design or production.
* Guide the US team in terms of new packaging design, product specifications, technical features and drawings, installation booklets and any other product related materials
* Manage the current product ranges portfolio for the company.
* Create a central product database to gather all relevant product and marketing information and materials.
* Liaise with legal and compliance teams to ensure product and associated collateral is fully compliant.
* Support the European Marketing Manager with the development of literature, product photography, POS and in store displays concepts.
* Work closely with the Marketing Digital Manager to provide accurate and regular product updates for online contents.
* Provide technical support, advice to company staff, pre & post sales.
* Work closely with the UK, European and Russian Sales team and their relevant stakeholders.
