This is an exciting opportunity for a business development manager to join an enthusiastic team delivering construction materials testing services to a wide range of clients across the UK with the UK's number one testing, inspection and compliance company.

Client focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of Infrastructure services. Now we need a self-motivated Business Development Manager to generate and develop new business opportunities in new North West and East primarily covering the services of construction materials laboratories but also cross-selling our ground investigation and environmental consultancy capabilities. Your challenge will include:

•Pro-actively develop new business relationships and follow up potential new business opportunities in those target sector markets aligned with the strategic objectives of the infrastructure business.

•Prepare, publish and report against an annual business development plan and deliver challenging business sales growth targets

•Network with existing and prospective clients to maintain their awareness of ESG's infrastructure capabilities and advancements in the UK.

•Manage and maintain accurate records of business development activity including regular reporting

We're looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work alone and as part of a team. Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:

•Understanding of construction market and associated supply chain (esp. main contractors and consultants)

•Thorough understanding of the commercial and technical aspects and nuances of the different marketplaces in which an infrastructure business operates in England

•Working knowledge of Construction Materials Testing

•Successful track record of developing new business relationships and tender opportunities

•Excellent time management skills allowing you to work to strict deadlines and time constraints.
