Full time - 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

The Credit Controller will play a key role in ensuring that the Group achieves outstanding results for students through sound financial strategy and practice. This role will offer an excellent opportunity to gain significant experience and responsibility working as part of a team assisting in a full range of finance activities.

You will be based primarily at our Rotherham site, and will manage and maintain the credit control and sales ledger functions on a day to day basis. You will ensure that all monies due to the College are invoiced promptly, direct debits are set up and collected in a timely manner and work in line with financial regulations and procedures at all times.

You will liaise with customers with respect to queries and overdue payments with an overall view to reducing outstanding levels of debt and will liaise with other College departments when appropriate over fees that remain unpaid.

You will recognise the importance of excellent customer service and will consistently give an excellent service when dealing with your customer base, leaving them with a positive impression of the College and the department. You will be able to manage your own workload to accommodate sometimes conflicting demands, and reprioritise your workload and respond to ad hoc requests within tight deadlines.

Previous experience in a similar role and/or similar environment is required with evidence of a track record in delivering similar objectives as detailed above together with English and Maths GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) grade A-C or higher and evidence of well-developed IT skills.
