Kidz Kabin has a unique opportunity available to recruit for Nursery Practitioner vacancies in London. The roles are full time, permanent positions offering a salary of up to £19,500 per annum plus benefits.

Kidz Kabin staff interact with children throughout the day, helping them to develop positive attitudes to learning.

Kidz Kabin currently has three nurseries, two in Muswell Hill and one in Wood Green. We are looking for full-time hard-working nursery practitioners to join our friendly team across all three nurseries!

What are the responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner?

- Observe, plan and track key children’s progress using both written and verbal records (where directed – key children will be shared with a qualified member of staff).

- Supervise children at all times (including play, meal times, sleeping and changing)

- Understand, utilise and implement the EYFS to create a positive learning environment for all children.

- Develop and sustain an excellent knowledge of all children (needs, allergies, development, family etc.)

- Assist with the care, maintenance and security of all equipment & toys within the nursery

- Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery.

- Be familiar with and adhere to all company policies & procedures (emergency, fire, security, equal opportunities, behaviour etc.)

- Working Hours : Either 5 half days, 8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm ( 25 hours a week) or 4.5 days (41 hours a week)

What skills do I need to have to become a Nursery Practitioner?

Essential

- Minimum Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years Education.

- Excellent understanding of the EYFS and how to use it effectively.

- Good knowledge of core policies & procedures in Early Years (safeguarding, equal opportunities, behaviour management etc.).

- High levels of energy & passion.

- Patient and able to engage children of all abilities.

- Excellent spoken and written English.

- Warm & friendly personality.

- Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude.

- Innovative & inspirational approach to learning indoors and a passion for outdoor play (any training in forest school would be advantageous!).

Desirable

- 2+ years of experience in Early Years.

- Experience across all age groups (5 months – 5 years).

- First aid qualified.

- Additional training (e.g. safeguarding, food hygiene etc.).
