Our clients’ aim is to help their students succeed, from their first day to the day that they leave. They provide education and training to allow students, the community and employers of North Tyneside and beyond to succeed and prosper.

As a Work Coach the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with individual learners aged 16-25 years, to ensure they develop the skills required to succeed in their future learning / career goals. To assist this process, the Work Coach will investigate and monitor new work placement opportunities for learners undertaken the Internship programme within their Preparation for Life, Work and Service Industries department.  This is a fixed term role until 1st December 2017.

Assessing student needs to support, improve and maximise learner achievement and success, you will provide regular feedback to Line manager regarding learners’ progress towards targets and contribute in supporting learners to develop their skills to help them progress into employment, education or training.  Supporting the Line Manager in the creation of relevant resources and the development or engaging curriculum activities, you must raise awareness of progression pathways into employment and training with learners as and when required and have the ability to use a range of strategies to help people identify new opportunities and encourage them to take action.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate a track record of successfully engaging people to achieve and develop. They therefore ask that you hold a relevant qualification which could include supporting young people. You should also show a commitment to ensuring that your CPD is up to date and relevant.  

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to travel around the North East region.
