Support Worker

Our client is a growing voluntary organisation providing services to people facing acute challenges in their lives. They are currently looking for a Support Worker who will be working within their Supported Housing service based in Bristol. The successful candidate will have the skills to deliver planned personalised support and effective housing management to clients with a range of often complex needs including; those engaged in addiction recovery programmes and / or with an offending history. They are looking for someone who has the passion and desire to contribute to services that bring about change to people's lives and who are willing to attend relevant training to gain the necessary skills to effectively provide this support.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the service team and with relevant external agencies to deliver an effective supported housing service, be committed to service user involvement and the development of a high quality client centred service delivery. You must be willing and able to take part in flexible working systems and work pattern when required, which may include weekend working.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A professional qualification in health care or housing is desirable but not essential. Knowledge, skills and experience of support working with clients with complex support needs is desirable as is an understanding of supported housing services.
