My client, a specialist UK based Consultancy which specialises in Residential and Commercial development Projects, is searching for a Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join and expand the existing Water Team based in Leeds.
It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Hydrology or Engineering and have achieved or are close to achieving Chartered status.
Applicants are required to have vast experience working for a UK based Consultancy managing and delivering Flood Risk and Drainage Projects for Private Developers, Local Authorities and/or Water Companies.
Candidates are also required to have experience mentoring team members, preparing bid proposals and completing and checking technical work including Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Drainage Strategy and detailed SuDS, Foul and Surface Water Drainage design using Microdrainage.
It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally and have experience completing Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller Pro, Tuflow or InfoWorks ICM.
As a Principal Engineer candidates will be required to manage and deliver varied Flood Risk and Drainage Projects to time and budget for Private Developers, Local Authorities and Water Companies.
Candidates will be required to manage, mentor and provide technical advice to the team and complete technical work including Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications, Surface Water Management Plans, Drainage Impact Assessments, Drainage Strategy and detailed design of SuDS and Sewerage Design using Microdrainage
Successful candidates will also be required to prepare bid proposals, develop new business opportunities and expand the Flood Risk Team.
