Warehouse Assistant Shift Leader

Ziffit.com is a free and easy to use website to sell unwanted books, CDs, DVDs, Blue-rays and games for cash. Up to half-a-million items a month have been sold on the site since it launched in October 2013, making it one of the largest trade in sites in the UK.

Due to continuous growth and success, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Shift Leader to be based in our Warehouse in Goring-by Sea.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Shift Leader to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse operation, as well as safe working practices within our fast paced, multi-product environment.

Main roles and responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing deliveries in and out of the warehouse.
• Responsibility for warehouse activity and ensuring smooth operation.
• Supporting Shift Leader with day to day performance management and recruitment
• Responsibility for inventory management of stock
• Stock Processing and grading of stock.
• Delivery of KPI’s and within budgets
• Managing and controlling the warehouse function to minimise costs and maximise efficiencies and productivity.
• Ensuring all employees adhere to company policies.
• Ensuring the payroll rota is completed in a timely manner on a weekly/monthly basis and all information is correct.
• Monitoring, measuring and reporting on operational issues, opportunities and developments within agreed formats and timescales.

The ideal Assistant Shift Leader:

The Assistant Shift Leader will have proven experience working within fulfilment or distribution, inbound/outbound operations and ideally within the retail, online or FMCG sector.

You will also have previous experience in dealing with day to day staff management duties including interviewing, training, employee one2one’s is essential, as well as budget management and quality control.
