LOCATION: Luton, Bedfordshire
JOB TITLE: 7.5 Tonne Drivers
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP23,000 - GBP25,000 including bonus (this is dependent on your route) + 28 days annual leave + 4 weeks training given
WORKING HOURS: Starting at 2.30am, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
THE COMPANY: Our client is a provider in the Dairy and food Industry and boasts a twenty year establishment within the market and an excellent reputation within the industry. They offer a fantastic support and training structure for any new drivers that join the business. Our client is proud of their image, they operate within four counties and add a personal touch to the service that they provide. They have an exciting opportunity available for 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
THE ROLE: Your role as a 7.5 Tonne Drivers will primarily be facilitating the drops. This is a multi-drop role and you will be assigned to a consistent route that you will learn which means you will be interacting with the same customers and building a rapport with them, and essentially you will act as an ambassador on behalf of the company.
Key Responsibilities/duties of a 7.5 Tonne Drivers based in Luton, Bedfordshire to include:-
• Offloading of goods from the vehicles to the customer
• Ensuring that delivered goods are signed off by the customer.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with company procedure prior to leaving depot to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, and the load is safe and secure.
• Comply with all transport legislation including working time regulations and tachograph law
• To remain fully customer focused whilst dealing with our client's customers.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have previous driving experience although not essential, and will have a driving entitlement to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles. You need to be a honest, reliable, friendly and an outgoing person who has excellent communication skills. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Luton, Bedfordshire.
Key experience essential for the role of 7.5 Tonne Drivers:-
• Entitlement to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles
• CPC / DQC card and Digitacho is advantageous but not essential as my client will put you through CPC training in exchange for a 2 year contract
