LOCATION: St Helens, Lancashire
JOB TITLE: LGV Class 2 Drivers
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary plus non contributory life assurance, 20 days holiday + statutory holidays (pro rata in first year) increasing to 25 days + statutory holidays - ability to earn GBP25,941 upon completion of the performance incentive criteria
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - 44 hours per week - shift rota basis - No Nights
THE COMPANY: Our client is the UK's number 1 delivered wholesaler, with an annual turnover of more than GBP4billion, serving multiple, convenience, forecourt and CTN retail outlets all around the UK. With 15 regional depots, our client serves around 90,000 UK retail outlets, and are located within two hours of each and every customer. A diverse fleet of over 1,300 vehicles makes more than 55,000 deliveries every week, in every UK postcode and due to continued successful growth they now seek a reliable Class 2 Driver to join their existing team based in Haydock in St Helens, Lancashire.
THE ROLE: As a Class 2 driver you will delivering cage / pallet drops across a multi-temp range of products throughout the North West of England, as well as the North of Wales. This is a customer facing multi drop delivery position so you must be well presented, be customer focused and posses a can do attitude. Other than carrying out deliveries you will be responsible for reporting vehicle faults, as well as maintaining the up keep and cleanliness of the vehicle.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Class 2 Drivers position must hold a Class 2 licence as a minimum, ideally with multi drop experience and have completed CPC modules in line with legal requirements. You should be customer focused, enthusiastic and have the ability to work using your own initiative with minimal supervision. Previous experience as a Class 2 driver is welcomed but our client will consider newly qualified Class 2 drivers with a can do attitude. You must however, have good geographical knowledge. It is essential you can commit to a shift rota pattern and are flexible.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the LGV Class 2 Driver's role in St Helens, Lancashire :-
- Must have a valid Class 2 licence
- Hold a CPC certificate or completed CPC modules in line with legal requirements
- Must be able to commit to a shift rota pattern and be flexible
- Good and thorough knowledge of compliance and safety procedures and legislation
- Having good geographical knowledge of North West of England and North Wales is essential
