An exciting unique opportunity has arisen to join a forward thinking, customer focused building society as an Interim Senior Marketing Manager.

They are looking for a proactive, highly motivated driven individual with strong marketing experience along with sound business acumen to thrive within an ever changing environment.

Their Interim senior marketing manager will need to provide operational leadership and pragmatic delivery in the connected areas of building brand equity, promoting the society's products and services and leveraging lead generation. This is a wide-ranging operational marketing role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a forward thinking, innovative marketing team.
  • Manage the end to end process for all marketing campaigns.
  • To promote our range of products across all customer marketing touch points.
  • Instigate policies/practices and programmes to promote effective customer relationships.
  • To ensure that all of the societies marketing literature is clear fair and not misleading and delivers against the effective TCF principles across the group.
  • Act as a "brand guardian" for all of the group's corporate identity and work with internal business units to create literature and websites, ensuring all marketing communications are consistent.
  • To actively instigate, collate and report on customer insight through regularly conducted surveys, market research and behavioural data with recommended action plans for the business
  • Coordinating the group's seminars, conferences and member engagement/activities.
  • Manage relationships with our PR agency, develop relationships with journalists and maximise brand coverage in national, trade and local media.
  • Day-to-day budget and cost centre management in relation to marketing activity spend.
  • Working with other business units to ensure a consistent and professional image is created and maintained through production of brand materials to premises and staff training.

Required Skills:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Experience in the financial services sector (banking, insurance, investments, etc) ideal.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritise.
  • Proactive approach to workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the entire society.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving orientation.
  • Experience with MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Proof HQ (desirable).

Qualifications:

  • Marketing or other relevant degree.
  • Appropriate Marketing qualifications.
