Quantity Surveyor Role - Freelance - On going contract, GBP200 - GBP300 per day - Water treatment project refurbishment project - Split based role - site based in Chester with fortnightly office visits (Lancashire)

The client

One of the country's top civil engineering contractors are looking for a freelance Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Water team.

The role will be based on a water treatment site in the Chester area. This is a site based role.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award winning business and known for carrying out some of the country's most prestigious engineering projects.

The project is a water treatment refurbishment project.

Duties

* Final accounts

* Day to day management of commercial issues on the project

* Preparation of Variation Costs

* Preparation of Monthly Valuations

* Producing Cash Flow Charts

* Tender analysis

* Forecasting Preliminaries Cost to complete

* Final Contract Negotiations

* Dealing with contractual issues

* Cost reporting

* Client liaison

Essential Candidate Requirements

- Worked as a project Quantity Surveyor on a Water treatment or civil engineering project specialising in the NEC3 form of contract
- Blue Chip Main Contractor Experience
- PC literate
- Knowledge of MS suite i.e. Word, Excel etc.
- Familiar with some form of commercial costing systems.
- Good presentation, influencing and motivation skills.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Desire to develop and motivated to achieving targets.
- Flexible attitude.
- Experience of risk management and cost reporting experience

Rates

GBP200 - GBP300 a day

Contract length - 3 -6 months
