Quality Manager - Aerospace

Salary: A competitive package would be offered for the right candidate in the

region of GBP50k+ negotiable

We currently have a demanding but brilliant opportunity for a Quality Manager to join a leading Aerospace engineering solutions business near High Wycombe

Responsibilities: -

As the Quality Manager you will be expected to head up a small dedicated team of Inspection personnel and line managers, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

You will be the main driving force of the company's quality system with full responsibility and ownership for the systems implemented.

Working closely with the shop-floor managers and shop-floor personnel you will need to ensure a robust and effective quality system is used, that's in full compliance of both EASA Part 21 Subpart G and ISO9001-2008 standards.

You will be the main point of contact for the quality systems governing bodies as well as the first point of contact for any customer quality requirements.

You will also have full responsibility for ensuring the company is prepared and able to meet & pass the requirements of any customer, or governing body quality audits.

Candidate requirements: -

- Extensive experience of the Aerospace quality sector and resulting requirements
- Must be fully trained and competent in all aspects of EASA Part 21 (Subpart G production approval)
- Must be fully trained and competent in all aspects of ISO 9001-2008 approval.
- Must be fully trained and competent in all aspects of AS9100 Rev C approval.
- Must be fully trained and competent in all aspects of EASA part 145 approval.
- Must have already held a senior position within a relevant QA department for at least 3 years, preferably in a Management post.
- Extensive experience in a range of manufacturing techniques including, CNC machining & Fabrications
- Detailed understanding and demonstrated usage of a range of manufacturing processes
- Proven line manager of staff, who is able to build and maintain an effective QA team
- Detailed understanding and demonstrated usage of MRP and ERP systems and processes
- Must be quality focused and able to make decisions but with a common sense approach.
- Be able to drive forward and instil the quality objectives throughout all aspects of the business.
- Strong communicator, able to motivate and lead from the front
- Calm and professional in approach, with a positive and energetic outlook
- Computer literate with good Excel Knowledge
- Must be capable of carrying out internal / external audits and the ability to train others to support this task.
- Competent at creating and implementing quality procedures, to support all QA objectives.
