Manchester Airport Group is the country’s largest airport group. We own Manchester, Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth Airports. In this ever-increasing complexity of our business, we have a large in house IT team with responsibility for all IT infrastructure and service from the point that you enter the airport carparks or station to the point that you board the plane. The team deliver a 24/7/365 service across four airports and deliver a variety of projects along with day to day maintenance and support for our 5000 staff
MAG-O is start-up digital business which has been created to take the Group on the next leg of its digital journey. Based from a converted hangar at Manchester Airport, this is truly the place for innovation and for those wanting to be part of something ground-breaking in this industry.
We are currently looking to expand our talented team with a newly created role of Data Analyst to join our team at Manchester Airport.
Data Analyst key responsibilities:
This commercially driven data analysis role will ensure that the business is fed and driven by information that supports profitable decision-making and promotes positive commercial activity. Focusing primarily on our car parks and retail business you will be supporting the commercial growth of a business already worth hundreds of millions of pounds. You will also be responsible for:

This role would suit a talented, Data Analyst who is passionate about not only extracting and analysing data, but also how it is captured, why it is used and the outcomes achieved. - Developing new ways to create insightful data based on the needs of the customer and the business.
- Utilising new BI tools, which you will use to develop / automate a range of reports; dashboards and analytical tools to improve the efficiency of the digital performance.
- Collating and Manipulating large volumes of detailed data from across the business.
- Identifying trends and the underlying causes of performance issues.
- Business critical reporting needs to be created quickly and at the highest standard.
- Any other adhoc duties as required.

This role would suit a talented, Data Analyst who is passionate about not only extracting and analysing data, but also how it is captured, why it is used and the outcomes achieved. We are looking for career minded people who live and breathe innovation, have an agile working style and (most importantly) enjoy analysing and presenting data. You will also need:
- Extensive commercial and website analysis skills.
- Ideally experience in web analytics using systems such as; Google Analytics, WebTrends, Omniture, Hitwise Sysomos, Advanced Web Rankings etc, along with data manipulation tools such as Excel and Omniscope etc.
- Delivering in accordance to deadlines and to the highest standards possible.
- Developing strong working relationships at all levels and is willing to learn and develop new ways of working.
