A change management and leadership role
This Plant Financial Controller is superb career opportunity for a professionally qualified accountant with a background in manufacturing and distribution with a significant subsidiary of a well-known US multinational. The company manufactures a broad range of niche products with multiple operations internationally and with a leading manufacturing site in North Yorkshire. It supplies it products around the world, has an excellent reputation for its technical excellence, quality of product and is looking forward to sustained growth and further development. The company is supported internationally by a broad network of distribution channels.
Reporting is to an offsite Director of Finance and there is also a strong dotted line into the Site Director. As Plant Financial Controller you will work closely with and be part of the senior onsite leadership team and this broad ranging controller role embraces many aspects of change management, cost saving initiatives, systems development, deep and extensive monthly management reporting, external and statutory reporting and importantly driving and embedding a culture of continuous improvement in the finance function. There is also significant involvement in the leadership of an experienced and qualified team together with broad ranging projects relating to stock management, systems and pricing strategy.
The Plant Financial Controller role requires a high quality candidate with an impressive career to date in a senior finance role in manufacturing. You will have a good university degree and be professionally qualified either ACA or ACMA and your formative career will have been in world-class companies with a large manufacturing and distribution footprint and ideally also with a large SKU product offering. FMCG, pharmaceuticals or healthcare products experience will be advantageous.
Your experience should also include US GAAP reporting, working capital management and ideally you will have worked previously with a US multinational. What is critically important is that you really understand your numbers, can lead the team and enjoy working in a progressive challenging environment.
