Our Finance team are at the hub of our UK operations, so our UK GAAP and General Ledger Analyst play a vital role in ensuring they have a lead role in forecast planning. We're looking for a talented candidate who would will relish the opportunity of taking responsibility for the following:

- Preparation of statutory accounts for legal entities and responding to external auditor requests
- Preparation and reporting of the dealers holding accounting and consolidation (Motors Holding Consolidation and investments)
- Reviewing and reporting fixed asset variances, replying to all related requests.
- Overseeing and reporting of capital projects accounting, accrued expenses, ARO accruals, policy & warranty and other liabilities
- Ensuring timely and accurate submission of all corporate reporting and requests (e.g. consolidation schedules)
- Support the preparation of P&L forecasting
- Assisting in analysing reasons for variances (actuals vs forecasts)
- Responsible for ensuring controls are in compliance with internal and external audit requirements
- Support UK Controller staff in accounting issues impacting the group
- Prepare and provide high quality statutory accounts to external auditors

Qualifications

About you:

Naturally, you'll have similar experience in entity level performance analysis and reporting, as well as direct responsibility for accounting for key operational areas within the UK business, as well as:

A relevant financial qualification commensurate to the role (CIMA/ACA)

- Ideally have industry experience
- High levels of numeracy, analytical skills, Microsoft Excel knowledge. SAP experience an advantage
- Sufficient years post qualified experience
- Broad knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, general accounting and forecasting
- Ability to communicate via telephone, emails and presentations effectively
