LOCATION: Fakenham, Norfolk
JOB TITLE: Technician / Service Engineer
SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary depending on experience - overtime will be available as per business needs.
WORKING HOURS: Monday - Thursday 7:30am 12.30pm -1.00 - 4:30pm (30 mins for lunch)
Friday 7:30am - 10:30am
THE COMPANY: Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialist harvesting machinery for peas and green beans, and is the UK importer for the PLOEGER range of self-propelled potato harvesters. Due to continued growth in the business our client is now looking to recruit for a Technician / Service Engineer to be based in Fakenham, Norfolk.
THE ROLE: Your role, if successful, as a Technician / Service Engineer requires experience in servicing and setting up of Potato Harvesters, ideally self propelled machinery. This role will also include start up of new machinery, in field servicing and ensuring the machines are set to obtain optimal performance levels.
Out of season you will be required to work in the factory on our further ranges of machinery,
Key Responsibilities of a Technician / Service Engineer to include:-
• Liaising with customer, diagnosing the fault and identifying the repair to be carried out.
• Servicing the customer's machines in an efficient and timely manner.
• Ensuring at all times that the machines are set to obtain optimal performance levels.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidates will have a broad knowledge of mechanical assembly together with experience of fault finding in hydraulic and electrical systems. The candidate will be reliable, have excellent communications skills and possess good time keeping skills. They must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel. Any technical qualifications that will be relevant to this position will be highly advantageous.
Key experience essential for the role of Technician / Service Engineer based in Fakenham, Norfolk:
• Must live within a commutable distance of Fakenham, Norfolk.
• Will have a full UK driving licence.
• Must have the skills / experience that can be transferable to this specific role.
• Will have a basic understanding of computers and Microsoft Office.
