WORKING HOURS: Full time, permanent-Working hours are from 7.00 am - 3.00 pm or 9.30 to 5.30 subject to the business needs

THE ROLE: Data Centre Operations Control Analyst - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Due to a promotion an opportunity has arisen to join a busy support environment as Operations Control Analyst. This role will form a part of an active team responsible for managing the IT infrastructure across Cambridge Assessment. The Operations team is instrumental in developing, implementing and maintaining controls over the physical Data Centre environments.
Working in a dynamic, supportive environment with a "can do" culture, you will be encouraged to develop your skills and gain a wide experience in many leading edge technologies. Sound technical skills are essential as are excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with both technical and business users.

Key Responsibilities to include: - Data Centre Operations Control Analyst - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
- Proactively identify IT Infrastructure issues or potential issues that may affect system performance or availability. Troubleshoot issues to identify key elements per delegated problem and make recommendations for resolution to primary technology support team. Support server room based activities.
- Complete routine checks in line with standard operating procedures, including updating event management and documentation systems. Actively engage in two way knowledge transfer with other engineers inside and outside the team.
- To work collaboratively with other IT colleagues and to provide the business with good customer service.
- Continuous Service Improvement through identifying enhancements and developments to existing services/processes
- • Be involved in the implementation of technology through the project life cycle where appropriate.
- Previous experience of working in IT with troubleshooting skills across a variety of technologies, including Server and Network infrastructure
- Customer focused and strong interpersonal skills
- ?? Good understanding of Operating Systems (Windows and Linux)
- ?? Any appropriate IT qualification would be desirable
- Experience in a Data Centre environment would be desirable
- Flexible attitude to working pattern
