Learning & Development Manager - Technical & Professional

Basic salary around GBP40k-GBP48k depending on knowledge skills & experience, plus competitive benefits and a great working environment

In this role you'll work closely with the Head of Development & Resourcing and senior leaders across the Bank to shape and embed our Learning & Development strategy to help the Bank progress its exciting journey.

You'll:

be responsible for the Bank's Learning & Development strategy from a technical, operational, regulatory and professional training perspective
identify the technical, regulatory and professional needs of the Bank through effective stakeholder engagement and research and support the delivery of the Bank's annual capability needs analysis exercise
lead the development and implementation of our online learning proposition and system which provides solutions in line with the Bank's strategy and risk appetite
manage and support Professional Qualifications across the Bank, leading the development of, and managing, key relationships with professional bodies, institutes and suppliers
define and own all Learning & Development processes for the Bank, ensuring they are communicated and understood
produce MI relating to Learning & Development activity driving meaningful conversations with key stakeholders
design, implement and maintain a calendar of technical training/masterclasses, ensuring all colleagues are kept informed and are aware of the core operations of the Bank
design and deliver a framework of education and development for colleagues in the Senior Managers Regime and Individual Accountability Regime supporting their competence and personal development
deliver projects to enable the delivery of our People Strategies and in line with agreed objectives
make sure that all colleagues understand the overall offering, what's available and how to access it
monitor and track all external spend relating to Learning & Development
own and maintain the Learning & Development intranet pages
develop meaningful and effective relationships with the Bank's HR Business Partners and key stakeholders across the broader Sainsbury's L&D community

You'll bring:

in depth, Learning & Development experience, with working experience and knowledge of online learning, technical and operational training, regulatory and professional development
experience of partnering, influencing and challenging senior leaders, in support of building the technical and operational capability of their teams
sound technical and professional knowledge of the training landscape in Financial Services
good business and commercial awareness
professional qualification in HR or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience
ability to build strong working relationships and influence at all levels
exceptional communication skills
ability to manage own work load, prioritise, multi task and work effectively under pressure
enthusiasm for generating new ideas/opportunities to help make improvements
excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
