Creative Director - Branding & Packaging Agency
Gloucestershire - ??70k - ??90k
These guys set up with a strong philosophy 15 years ago, and set out to challenge the prolific big-name London agencies. They see themselves as fearless, and endeavour to create world-class design to get world-wide brands noticed - and they're willing to do whatever it takes!
They have 3 big C's at the forefront of everything they do, Creativity, Collaboration and Courage - they simply do not settle for 'ordinary'.
This role is a crucial one for the agency, obviously, any Creative Director role is, so the need for this person to have the right attitude and personality is paramount. They will have no time for an egocentric individual who wants to come and rule the roost like a dictatorship - this character will be able to omniscient view of the agency floor and be able to pick people up when they're struggling, praise designers who are shining and mentor those who need that little nudge in the right direction. You'll be able to extract the very best out of your team and continue to proactively drive the agency forward with to creative and commercial success.
Unless you've got Pencils, Lions and FAB's to your name then you're probably not going to cut it. This is a role for a Creative Director with a long lease of creativity and boundless enthusiasm primed and ready to be injected into an agency that is seriously on the up.
The agency environment is something to behold, they live and breathe creativity, and this shines through in their workplace. For the big kids, or adults who want to win the bragging rights, there is table football, pool and table tennis, all with ample room for those expansive shots. They have a fully equipped kitchen that is always stocked with fresh fruit, you can even stick the fruit in the smoothie maker. They encourage the team to sit down and eat breakfast and lunch together at 2 big long tables in the kitchen area, and strongly discourage eating at their desks as they feel it's unhealthy.
If you're one that's easily distracted then there are lots of little breakout areas, a sound-proofed quiet room which offers the chance to get away from the madding crowd and gather your thoughts in peaceful serenity. There's even a meditation area with headphones and all of the latest meditation software if the weekend was heavier than you anticipated! Wooosaaaa???.
Package-wise these guys hit the mark too, salary will be in the region of ??70k - ??90k, a share in a solid bonus scheme is up for grabs after 12 months, cycle to work scheme, eye-care upkeep, enhanced MAT&PAT leave, plus childcare vouchers, Xmas shutdown & 25 days holiday, plus 4:30pm finishes on Fridays, free breakfast and immense access to inspirational events. Tim Lindasy from the D&AD was there last week???..
They work hard, and play hard, the banter was described as merciless so you'll need to be able to hold your own on that front too???.!
If you're reading this, I hope you've got a smirk on your chops, and I'd certainly hope you're interested - if so, fire on over your CV and book and if it hits the mark, I'll get in touch with more info
