Spa Therapists - North Berwick

Are you an experienced Spa / Beauty therapist looking for an exciting new opportunity for 2017?

Come and work at the stunning Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa. Situated on Scotland's East Coast, it is s a landmark 19th-century Victorian hotel with views over the Firth of Forth, It's  a 9-minute walk from both North Berwick train station and North Berwick Golf Club.

They are recruiting for Full and Part Time staff to join their expanding team. Offering an immediate start for successful candidates (with the option of live in accommodation to be discussed at interview).

Spa Therapist Role

The Spa Therapist is responsible for ensuring that we offer a warm and professional welcome and that we deliver the highest level of service through the Company brand standards.

The Spa Therapist will offer a range of professional therapies and treatments and draw on previous guest facing experience to achieve service and revenue targets. The Spa Therapist will be a confident and effective communicator, who can demonstrate their ability to converse with a wide variety of guests and colleagues at all levels.

The Spa Therapist’s duties will include; preparation of Spa Therapy rooms, the Spa Lounge and Spa Relaxation Suite before and after each treatment; effective reservation, treatment and retail enquiry handling; giving, receiving and handover of information; accurate billing and posting of revenue; maintaining a sparkling and relaxing environment at all times.

This is seven day per week operation that includes weekends and some late evenings, so a degree of flexibility is required.

Spa Therapist Requirements:

Our expectation of you will be that you are able to work on your own using your initiative as well as contribute to the overall success of your team and the hotel. You must have the following:

• NVQ level 3 in Beauty or equivalent
• Welcoming and professional approach to guests
• Passion for exceeding guest expectation, first time, on time, every time
• Immaculate presentation standards in all that you do
• Experience in similar role and luxury environment
• Excellent communication skills with high standards of literacy, numeracy and office based computer systems
• Good working knowledge of a spa reservation system is preferred, however full training will be given
