An existing opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager at an industry leading Automotive manufacturing organization in Hemel Hempstead. Due to increased and sustained success this role will support the growth of the OEM business unit, providing engineering and commercial support.

This role is primarily office based, but does require travel to the Warwickshire/Midlands region and abroad on occasion. Company car is included along with excellent salary and benefits package

The ideal person will be familiar with the Automotive manufacturing industry, ideally having liaised with Automotive OEM from an engineering/project and commercial perspective.

As Account Manager your key responsibilities will include:

- Support Technical Coordinators with representation to new customers.
- Introduce and demonstrate (where necessary) new products Co-ordinate sample & process change approvals.
- Obtain copies of customer approved production level drawings via Project/Application Engineers
- Report activities of UK customer's product application status to UK Management and Japanese Head Office.
- Ensure the timely maintenance of spark plug and sensor logs for parts returned under OEM warranty agreements.
- Keep abreast of the latest engineering developments in the automotive field.
- Liaise with other companies within the group on the development of global projects
- Monitor competitors engineering activity in Automotive and aftermarket fields.
- Identify future vehicle programmes and volume requirements through discussions with customers.
- Establish future customer pricing policy/strategy.
- Obtain information on competitor commercial activity.
- Co-operate with the technical department to enable effective technical support to be maintained.
- Support ISO/TS 16949 requirements.

To be successful in the role of Account Manager you will have the following key skills:

- Experienced within the Automotive Manufacturing Industry
- Strong understanding of the JLR Systems/Processes
- Degree Educated within an engineering discipline
- Fully conversant with Automotive and NPI procedures, including PPAP process
- Basic understanding of engine management software and hardware structures to support application engineering
- Electrical Engineering Bias would be desirable/knowledge of vehicle wiring systems and/or knowledge of engines and exhaust after treatment technology
- Strong commercial acumen and administrative skills (MS Office)
- Driven character, self-motivated and a commitment to being part of a very successful OEM team

This location is accessible from Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Watford, Hatfield, Leighton Buzzard, Aylesbury and High Wycombe
