Account Manager, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Rail Industry
We are recruiting for an Account Manager on behalf of a leading Company who are at the forefront of the railroad revolution, with a blend of history and innovation that drives them each day.
The Company who specialise in rolling stock, employs people carefully selected for their knowledge, capabilities and motivation, to ensure that every Customer receives the quality of service and attention to detail that the Company have come to symbolise.
Responsibilities Include:
- Establishing and developing new long-term relationships, whilst also servicing and developing existing accounts.
- To be the link between the customer and the company anticipating and understanding the customer's needs and offering solutions.
- To work with Managers and Directors across the business to ensure those needs are met and that the customer receives excellent customer care and service.
- To create credibility, build strong lasting customer relationships and earn the customer's trust.
- To contribute to the annual Business Development Plan and its key objectives which contributes to the overall Company Strategic Plan
- Manage conflict and conduct effective negotiations and sales strategies which minimise the risk to the business.
- Ability to demonstrate good commercial understanding, manage contracts / clients and be able to demonstrate this from previous roles
- Contribute to the planning of long and medium term strategic direction of the business ensuring growth and financial success.
- Agree the management account strategy and set objectives about that account management.
- Carry out continuous market analysis and research on the dynamics of the account.
- Deliver key sales and marketing objectives to ensure profitable outcomes for the business.
- Agree the price strategy & structure for the customer.
- Agree the management account strategy and set objectives about that account management.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Rail Industry experience
- Proven track record of sales and account management.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work using own initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of meeting key objectives and sales targets.
- Hands on approach to problem solving, identifying issues and using initiative and available resources to generate recommendations.
Salary: GBP45,000- GBP50,000 + Benefits including Company incentive scheme, 5% company contribution pension, Company funded life assurance.
