Supervising Social Worker (full time, permanent)

Location: Chester-le-Street, County Durham

Salary:  £23,420.53 - £38,854.57 per annum dependent on experience.

Futures for Children, a national independent fostering agency, require an experienced full time Supervising Social Worker to work for our North East Region based in Chester-le-Street, County Durham.   

The successful candidate will be part of a small team whose aim is to recruit, train and supervise foster carers to support the children and young people placed with us across the region.  Experience in completing Form Fs is an advantage and you should be able to evidence strong analytical and assessment skills. You will also need to be able to support and supervise foster carers and engage children and young people.

You should have effective communication skills and be organised and able to deliver to deadlines. The ability to work flexibly as part of a team and have good recording and IT skills are also essential.

Futures for Children group of companies run an out of hours service and the successful candidate will be required to take part in the rota.   

A social work qualification is essential for this post as is registration to the HCPC.  Experience of fostering services or knowledge of the looked after system would be an advantage.
