We are looking for talented, highly motivated people to join the WPD Craft Apprenticeship Scheme to become Craftspeople who operate at the forefront of the business. This role would suit you if you enjoy working in a team environment, in the outdoors and would be interested in a long-term career with the leading electricity distribution business in the UK.
Our Craftspeople are highly trained and operate at the sharp end of our business. They are divided into three main groups – Overhead Lines, Jointer and Fitter. The core training takes a minimum of two years and your first nine weeks will take place at one of our Training Centres.
You should have or expect to achieve, at least five GCSE passes at Grade C or above in Maths, English Language and one Science subject. Alternatively you will have an equivalent Level 3 recognised qual fication in Electrical Engineering.
