Sales Assistant

The Company:
Our client is one of the UK's largest international removals & shipping company and handles around 20,000 individual baggage shipments and overseas removals annually. They have been established for over 30 years and have an unrivalled reputation for friendly, professional and efficient relocation services.
Job Purpose:
• Nurture and build on good business relationships with customers, offering a full range of customer support processes.
Responsibilities:
• Manage internal systems and accurate data entry.
• Respond promptly to all customer enquiries and efficiently provide solutions to secure conversion in to sales.
• To ensure prompt and accurate production of written sales quotation, to include personalised sales letter and appropriate sales literature. Execute timely follow up of designated quotes.
• Carry out full post acceptance customer support, including move plan confirmation, customer briefing, invoicing, debt collection and post move customer de-briefing.
• Liaise with operations and the branch manager to ensure bookings are made and acceptance administration is completed.
• Deal with customer complaints promptly and efficiently as they arise, in line with agreed company procedures.
Personal Attributes:
It is essential that you are professionally presented and have a friendly and approachable personality. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The Customer Sales Assistant is a self-reliant individual who is capable of running a well organised, process driven desk. A high degree of flexibility and a conscientious approach is required. The Customer Sales Assistant will posses and demonstrate a passion for delivering superior customer service and be motivated to deliver against set KPI’s.
Computer literacy is an advantage as this is an office based role but the candidate must be positive, reliable and enjoy problem solving. Support and training will be given in all aspects of the job to help you integrate into a friendly efficient and successful team (apprenticeship training is available). Primarily you will be trained to handle export consignments all over the world, which our client believe is a varied and exciting job but this job will suit someone who is comfortable dealing with people – the basis of their business.
