Our client has experienced significant growth to become one of Europe's largest suppliers of temporary access solutions, including temporary Roadways and walkways, turf protection for stadia pitches, pontoons for water access as well as rail access products for the rail industry.

A key and exciting position of Business Development Engineer has been created to continue the growth and market penetration within the Midlands region. The role will be a mix of managing existing accounts (50%) and developing new business (50%) with the overall objective of increasing the overall turnover and profitability of the area.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' relevant Technical Sales experience ideally from a Technical Hire background however a good working knowledge of the contractor customer base within the utilities, Civil engineering or construction sectors would be beneficial.

Our client is looking for a strong sales person with a proven track record of business development who can work autonomously and be able to technically sell a concept and solution. The type of personality required will have the gravitas, tenacity and ability to deal at all levels - from engineer to up to director level, and to follow up leads and convert into an order.
