X2 Mechanical Design Engineer
Oxfordshire / 6 month rolling contract
Our client is a Motorsport and Technology business located in Oxfordshire they are looking to recruit x2 Mechanical Design engineers to support their exciting current and upcoming projects across Marine, Automotive and Aerospace industries.
Our client operates across a wide range of industries including automotive, defence, marine and renewable energy. They specialise in the design, development and integration of electromechanical control systems, and mechanical system architectures for vehicles and other applications.
In this role you will be designing and developing mechanical systems from concept to production, working on projects ranging from jet engines, to yachts, as well as the latest automotive hybrid technologies.
Role and Experience:
- Knowledge of Hydraulics is essential
- Proven experience of concept design and CAD packages, CATIA V5
- Completion of 3D CAD component models and assemblies
- Completion of 2D detail drawings of components
- Technical liaison with customers, suppliers and manufacturing
- Preparation of BOM's and other project documents to fulfil project and process requirements
- Support the Team Leader, and other engineers with writing client quotations
- You are likely to be requested to lead projects depending on your experience. Managing the team, budget, and timing
- Supporting the compilation of DFMEA's
- Candidates with proven experience of concept design will be given preference
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and have a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
