Overview
Our client is a fast paced manufacturer with an excellent reputation within the market of which they are one of the leading businesses. Due to continued growth and expansion (both organic and through acquisition), they are looking for an experienced and driven Maintenance Engineer for their expanding facility in the Wakefield/ Barnsley area

The Role
- Maintaining machinery on the production line according to PPM schedules in order to minimise downtime.
- Provide efficient and speedy reactive breakdown response.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in processes and equipment; involvement with continuous improvement projects.
- Being involved in the training and development of engineering apprentices
The Person
We are looking for candidates with a passion for manufacturing and a keen eye for detail and improvement opportunities. Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience;
- Apprentice trained in either electrical or mechanical engineering
- Multiskilled engineer
- Experience of working within a demanding PPM schedule preferably within a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience of working with PLC's and ideally CNC machinery would be desirable but not essential as would experience of dust extraction systems and frequency drives
