This organisation is a major FTSE 250 business and is offering a role within the Group Reporting Function that is critical to the Group as a whole.
The group reporting function acts as a centre of excellence for technical accounting issues providing advice to the wider group on ad hoc queries and is continually looking to improve finance processes including those in Group Finance.
This is a high profile role that will suit a technically minded qualified accountant and has significant interaction with the Head of Group Reporting.
The Role
As the Interim Group Reporting Accountant you will be required to join the existing finance team to take part in the consolidation of divisional returns to produce and review Group results. You will also be required to challenge these results once divisions have submitted them and will act as the key Group Finance contact for one of the Group`s operating divisions for all forms of reporting to Group
This role will involve reporting directly into the Head of Group Reporting while also supporting the business divisions on a daily basis, skill set wise this role will require an in depth technical understanding of Group reporting and statutory accounting as well as the ability to analyse and draw conclusions form prior year results.
This role will involve production of parts of the Group annual and half yearly statutory reports including analytical review and analysis of divisional submissions for the relevant notes, obtaining explanations and understanding of the figures as well as acting as a point of quality control.

Your Profile
The successful Group Reporting Accountant is likely to be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience of group financial reporting of a large listed business, either from industry or from practice. They will be intellectually inquisitive and technically strong, with good analytical skills and will have proactive problem solving capabilities. The candidate will be required to remain technically up to date in all areas of financial reporting.

Salary & Benefits
GBP55,000-GBP60,000. Parking is available free of charge.
