JOB TITLE: Chef / Sous Chef
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive dependent on skills and experience + benefits
WORKING HOURS: Full Time (No Evenings - Will be required to work alternate weekends)

THE COMPANY: Our client based in March, Cambridgeshire, on the edge of Doddington Village between Peterborough and Cambridge, provide specialist care for the very young to the elderly. They offer day visits, a rehab centre and hydro therapy pool, respite and continuing long-term support, both within their community village or at home, and support people with a range of different needs.

Our client firmly believes in providing excellence across each facility and service; this can be seen in the everyday lives of their residents, visitors and staff alike. Due to successful growth they now require a enthusiastic Chef / Sous Chef to join their existing friendly and passionate team.

THE ROLE: As a Chef you will work with and be supported by the Head Chef and other kitchen staff. You will be responsible for being involved with setting menus and preparing meals for the residents, some of which have special dietary requirements. You will ensure all dishes are cooked, served and presented to the highest standards and also interact and engage with residents to obtain feedback an suggestions.

Key Responsibilities for the Chef / Sous Chef's role in March, Cambridgeshire include:

- Prepare and cook food and ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the communities and residents high standards
- Assist with setting menu's and preparing meals, dietary specific meals, snacks and desserts.
- Assist with the ordering and sourcing of stock and ingredients
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen is kept to the current health and safety and food hygiene standards
- Speak, engage and interact with residents in order to gather menu feedback and look at ways to always keep improving the service

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Chef / Sous Chef post will need to have working experience in a kitchen setting as a chef, but most importantly you must be an enthusiastic and understanding person who can engage well with people. Although any relevant qualifications are welcomed this is not essential as full training can be give for the right candidate but you must have a passion for food and cooking. This is a great opportunity for a Chef or Sous Chef looking to make the next step in their career.

Although there is no evening work required for this role, the ability to commit to working alternate weekends is essential.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Chef / Sous Chef role in March, Cambridgeshire :-

- Must have previous experience as a Chef preparing food in a kitchen setting
- Must be an outgoing and enthusiastic person
- Must be flexible able to work alternate weekends
- Although not essential any related qualifications are welcome
