LOCATION: Tibshelf (near Alfreton), Derbyshire
JOB TITLE: Registered Home Manager
SALARY & BENEFITS: circa GBP30,000
WORKING HOURS: Full Time (40 hours)

Due to expansion of a new home, a great opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Registered Home Manager has arisen. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate and serious about developing a career in Health & Social Care eventually in either a supervisory or managerial position.

THE ROLE: As a Registered Home Manager you will form part of a developing team, making a positive and purposeful difference to the lives of up adults with learning disabilities.

You will be responsible and accountable for the 24 hours management of the Home, ensuring that all aspects of care and service delivered to the highest standards whilst meeting the needs of the residents and ensuring regulations are met and strict complied to.

You will report to the Area Manager and will be supported by a programme of continuous training and development.


Key Responsibilities for the Registered Home Manager's role in Tibshelf (near Alfreton), Derbyshire include:

- Supervise, lead and monitor day to day management, work load and care practises of other staff and support carers within the policy/procedures
- Initiate and develop new ideas and methods regarding the quality of service, and involve residents and staff as much as possible
- Take responsibility for the achievement of service delivery targets by regularly monitoring, recording and reporting performance statistics
- Work with the Area Manager and Regional Director to ensure the staffing levels within the Service, are in accordance with those assessed as required
- Organise regular (monthly) staff meetings involving the residents as much as possible

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Registered Home Manager's position must be a motivated and caring person who has previous experience managing or leading a team of staff. It is essential you have a professional nursing / social work professional qualification or will be willing to complete your Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care Services.
You must be a dedicated, self-starting individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as excellent organisational, report writing and time management skills. You must have an understanding and commitment to safeguarding.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Registered Home Manager's role in Tibshelf (near Alfreton), Derbyshire :-

- Must have a professional nursing / social work professional qualification or will be willing to complete your Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care
- Previous experience supervising or managing a team of staff and experience in Health & Social Care is essential
- Must have a good understanding and knowledge of CQC regulations
