Support Workers/Buddys required
Permanent & Bank hours available over Weekend days/evenings and Weekdays, various shifts available
Location:
Near Stockbridge, Hampshire.
Support Worker/Buddy Role Overview:
To work with a 26 year old man with a brain Injury living near Stockbridge, Hampshire who requires assistance in carrying out rehabilitation programs as directed by the case manager, team leader and rehabilitation professionals. He also requires assistance to motivate and initiate carrying out social, voluntary work and leisure activities.
Experience preferred, but personality, a good sense of humour, ability to work flexibly, and under own initiative are the qualities most desired.
Hours:
Several posts are available:
- Permanent hours
- Bank hours are also available
Covering 12 hour & 24 hour shifts over weekdays & weekends
Support Worker/Buddy Attributes:
- Experience of working in a health care setting & Genuine interest in delivery of health care to the community
- Ability to demonstrate good verbal & written communication skills
- Team player and understanding of importance of feedback to qualified members of the team
- Ability to learn new skills
- Excellent numeracy and literacy
- Good sense of humour and interpersonal skills
- Proactive & encouraging approach
- Punctuality
- Patient, reliable and trustworthy
- Understanding of confidentiality
- Able to think creatively and to use initiative
- Ability to work evenings and weekends & willingness to work flexibly
- A full driving licence required & willingness to use own car for work
Remuneration:
GBP10.00 - GBP13.00 per hour dependent on level of experience and qualifications. Ongoing training and support provided. Free DBS check.
