Intermediate Mechanical Estimator - Building Services - London - Permanent

One of the UKs leading independent building services companies has a fantastic opportunity for an intermediate Mechanical Estimator to join their commercial team. The company is over 60 years old and provides a complete range of electrical, mechanical and security services. The company is over 60 years old and their current turnover is in excess of £100,000,000 per annum.

As an Intermediate Mechanical Estimator you will work on a range of tenders, ensuring a compliant and fully co-ordinated bid process is followed.



The successful candidate will be required to ensure that enquiries and tenders are managed in accordance with company procedures, are fully compliant with the client's requirements and are submitted on time to meet challenging deadlines. The candidate will also be required to review concept design information, produce cost plan information and attend site surveys, mid and post-bid interviews.



To be considered for this vacancy, candidates must have experience working within a large estimating department on projects ranging from £1,000,000 to £8,000,000 in value and ideally be from a mechanical trade background. The candidate must also have experience of compiling suggested value engineering schedules based upon the original employer's requirements and be able to evaluate quotations in a precise and technical manner. A high degree of competence in using Estimation software is also a fundamental requirement.
