Our client, a well known company based in Chard who deals with packaging and handling cheese, is seeking production operatives to join their team.
You will supply the machinery with empty moulds (ensuring the machinery and equipment is clean) and monitor the process to check the machinery is working correctly.
You will also be responsible for regularly turning the cheeses by hand, transferring products to different areas of the factory and any administration/record keeping required.
This is a full time, permanent position. The basic hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, typically working an 8 / 9 hour day between 8am - 7pm including break time.
In return you will receive an hourly rate starting from ??8.27 rising to ??8.71 after completion of training/probation. You will also receive holiday pay, pension scheme and enhanced hourly rates if work over 40 hours.
Our ideal candidate will be able to follow instructions, understand the importance of food hygiene and Basic IT skills. A background in the dairy industry is desirable but not essential due to the excellent training you will receive.
