Our company client is a high profile organization who are currently seeking to recruit a driven and tenacious Business Insight Manager to join their thriving team based in Surrey. This is a unique opportunity to join a widely respected brand in a period of fast paced change.
Role summary and key duties:
* The main purpose of the Business Insight Manager within this team is to produce and present the programme financials and demonstrate the impact on the latest financial forecast as well as produce the wider COO dashboard.
* They should lead their team to delivery real analysis and insight on both of these areas as well as identifying new change opportunities, creating big data analysis and wider external insight than currently exists across the group.
* As the leader of the Business Insight Management Team you will significantly improve the profitability of the company through the delivery of a number of key analytical projects across all our brands, products and channels and provide guidance and support for Analysts.
Main tasks will cover:
* Cost, benefit analysis, design and implementation, full build of key levers impacting financial model and creating a full methodology and implementation of the basis for all costs and benefits, embedding this within the business.
* Establishing and creating a clearly defined link to the financial model and understanding on all levers and their impacts.
* Exec production reporting.
* High-level stakeholder management will be an integral part of this role. The individual will need to commonly manage the COO and his direct reports as well as wider; Reserving and Financial teams.
* Managing, developing and ensuring high performance from a team of 2 subordinates.
* Reporting (Dashboards, trends, new optimisation and opportunity models with new tools like Qlikview).
* Co-ordinating existing MI.
Essential abilities and background required:
* Demonstrable and proven track record in an analysis role, ideally gained within a commercial environment and with significant line/people management experience.
* Proven experience of operating effectively with and presenting to Boards and other senior management is essential.
* A high level of accuracy, analysis and presentation is essential.
* Highly computer literate with in-depth knowledge of statistical software packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS). Previous experience of EMBLEM, ResQ and/or @Risk would be advantageous.
* Proven experience of applying multivariate statistical techniques (e.g. Regression (GLMs), Clustering, CHAID) to business problems.
* A well-organised and logical approach, with attention to detail and good communication skills are essential as is the ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of how the business works and performs.
