Legal Administration Assistance - Northampton
A growing, niche law firm are seeking a full-time (37.5 hours p/w) Legal Administration Assistant to join their friendly team. Specialising in corporate liability claims and employing both legal and insurance professionals, this company aims to provide the highest level of service in the market place.
This role will see you work within a team of 3, providing administration support to the claims handling teams as well as the office as a whole.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Opening claims on the office case management system/conducting initial enquiries
Answering telephone calls made to the office
General filing duties (correspondence to files and files to cabinets)
Scanning of incoming post to the office case management system
Incoming and outgoing post, sorting post for signature
Making telephone enquiries for unreferenced post
Uploading of emails to the office case management system
Preparing trial bundles
Photocopying documentation and zipping files
To assist in general office administrative duties in keeping with the role
Skills and Experience:
This role will be perfect for a self-starter who has the ability to work independently but within a defined structure
Basic typing and IT skills
Ability to balance and prioritise workload
Good telephone manner
Attention to detail and accuracy
Adaptable and flexible
No previous office experience required, excellent opportunity for a College/University Graduate or school leaver
Person Specification:
We are looking for someone who can work well on their own and in a close team environment, prioritise and use initiative as well as being keen, and positive in providing full support services. Good organisational and communication skills are very important. Although some of the tasks involved can be a little mundane and repetitive, the tasks and support are invaluable and vital to the claims handling teams.
