Trade Counter Sales - Construction Materials

Trade Counter Salesperson required for a major player within the construction product supply industry, who will be selling to a range of trade customers.
This role would suit you if you have experience in retail sales and are seeking a serious career move. You will be building and maintaining efficient working relationships with both your internal colleagues and your customers in a challenging role which will need you to use your excellent communication and customer service skills, both by phone and face to face. As you will be developing new business opportunities, you will need to be able to demonstrate your drive and commercial acumen. You will be working to set targets and pricing policies, it will be your responsibility to ensure the Trade Counter is fully stocked and looks professional at all times. Our client is looking for a committed, motivated and friendly candidate who wants to join their busy branch.
A vital element of this role will be to develop and grow a designated account list, so the ability to develop new business opportunities will be a key attribute in this role.
The successful candidate will be required to assist with deliveries, un-loading and loading of vehicles at the branch. A key element of the role is to be physically able to assist customers with their purchases; therefore knowledge of health and safety processes such as manual handling will be advantageous.
We would be keen to speak with you if you have a flair for customer service and building relationships, good IT skills and a real drive for career progression. You will be qualified to GCSE grade C (or equivalent) or above in Maths and English. Candidates with sales experience from a builder's merchant, plant hire company or roofing / construction materials.
You will be working with a leading supplier of a wide range of specialist construction materials, with multiple branches throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East. The Group enjoys a GBPmultimillion turnover and can offer very real career advancement opportunities. They like to ensure their people work in a positive and team-centred environment, ensuring that the customer is the primary focus. Hours are Monday to Friday only and you can expect a good benefits package including 25 days' holiday + Bank Holidays.
