Assembly Manager, Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil

Due to continued growth, our established Furniture Manufacturing client are seeking a well experienced Assembly Department Manager to introduce a performance, target driven environment to ensure future organisation success.

The main purposes of the Assembly Manager
* Full day to day responsibility of the Assembly Department, associated activities and personnel.
* Also responsible for all component stores and associated personnel, including managing of receipts from manufacturing.
* The introduction and maintenance of standard work and standard operations within the department.
* Generating and working to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Assist the Production Director in the preparation of annual budgets.
* All aspects of health and safety (compliance and training) within the department.

The Ideal candidate
* You will have a proven background in a manufacturing or production capacity.
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Track record of meeting demand operating deadlines and KPI's
* Experience with requirement planning and capacity planning
