JOB TITLE: Assistant Storeman
SALARY & BENEFITS: Dependent on experience
WORKING HOURS: Full time
THE COMPANY: Our client is a family run engineering company based in Wisbech with over 30
years experience of supplying their customers with excellent service. They cater for all aspects of
engineering from civil engineering through to factory maintenance.
THE ROLE: As an Assistant Storeman you will join the workshop stores / goods in team based at our clients site in Wisbech. Your role will vary and play a key part in the the smooth running of the business. You will work closely with the engineers in the workshop. You will also undertake PAT testing as part of your role.
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Storeman:
• Taking incoming deliveries
• Booking goods out for engineers
• Dealing with suppliers
• Stock control within in the stores
• Recording details on computer system
• Use of FLT
• General housekeeping of the stores to keep a safe clean working environment
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the role of Assistant Storeman will be computer literate and will be enthusiastic with a can do attitude. Those with experience in a stores / engineering background would be desirable but not essential. FLT experience or qualifications desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Basic electrical tool repair experience would be advantageous but gain not essential. If you have a can do attitude and enthusiasm and live within a commutable distance of Wisbech we would like to hear fro you.
Key experience essential for the Assistant Storeman role:
• Live within a commutable distance of Wisbech
• Computer literate
• FLT experience or qualifications desirable but not essential
• Basic electrical tool repair experience desirable but not essential
• Experience in a stores / engineering background would be desirable but not essential
