LOCATION: Chichester, West Sussex (Can be Home Based)

JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager / Sales Development Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS: basic GBP26,000 (OTE earnings of GBP40k - GBP50k)

WORKING HOURS: Full Time

THE COMPANY: Our client established over 30 years ago and whose head office is based in Chichester, West Sussex, and are market leaders who have been providing leading multi-national companies, government bodies and trade organisations with business intelligence and strategic market information in order to sell into the global Waste, Bioenergy and Recycling sector. This is done through the companies databases of strategic sales information compiled by expert researchers and analyst's.

THE ROLE: As a Business Business Development Manager / Sales Development Manager you be responsible in developing and growing new and existing client accounts whilst maintaining excellent relations. You will be given full in depth product training for this role and will be offered support at all times. There is no cold calling and you will be given generated leads to work from. You will be required to establish new business opportunities from these leads, present services, provide quotes and manage the 'sales pipeline' of the lead from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager / Sales Development Manager's role include:

- Receive and act on daily generated leads by companies interested in our client's services

- Develop, grow, and protect new and existing client accounts

- Present services and solutions to existing and potential new clients

- Build and maintain excellent lasting client relationships

- Provide after care service to clients and manage account effectively with follow up calls and identify their needs

- Keep up to date with products and industry knowledge by attending training and support offered by the company

THE CANDIDATE: Although it would be desirable, the successful candidate for the Business Development Manager / Sales Development Manager does not need to be an expert or have experience in the Waste or Bioenergy industry, as full in depth training and support will be provided. You will however need to have experience in a Business to Business sales role and have experience effectively managing client accounts. You must be an intelligent person who is not afraid to learn new skills and it is essential you are comfortable in holding presentations to clients.

Although home based you would be required to attend occasional team meetings in Chichester, West Sussex as well as seminar's and events globally.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Business Development Manager / Sales Development Manager's role :-

- Must have previous Business to Business sales experience

- Must have experience managing customer or client accounts in order to protect and maintain clients / good working relationships

- It is essential you have a good head on your shoulders, are well educated and committed to learning new skills and products

- You must be confident and able to present to clients and have a good track record of closing sales
