They are now looking for a Design Engineer to join them and drive consistent standards and the design team objectives. You will support the business operational needs in improving existing products and introducing new whilst transferring customer information into unique methods and process designs, ensuring they meet their commitments to both their internal and external customers.
Utilising 3D Modelling to achieve efficient design and drawing generation meeting customer and production requirements, you will ensure all work meets internal standards and that correct information is recorded to process, inclusive of data management and control activities. Working closely with the customer and internal teams to realise the best configuration of component, you will build a good understanding of Design for Manufacture/Process applying this practice to products in a structured and methodical way. Ensuring AS9100 compliance, you will utilise stimulation software Q-Form to optimise design and processes also generating tool-paths to support Toolroom die and fixture manufacture where required.
They are looking for a highly creative and innovative individual who has experience of NX CAD/CAM software (or equivalent software packages) and who holds a HNC certificate as a minimum. With the ability to read and understand technical drawings, you will have excellent problem solving skills and a genuine passion to learn new skills.
