Encore Driving have a temporary positions for HGV Class 1 Drivers based in Tamworth working for a well known company. Fantastic rates of pay, free uniform as part of our Approved Driver Scheme and CPC training available!
Job Title: LGV C+E Drivers Wanted - Temp to Perm
Location: Tamworth
Pay rate: GBP10.50 (GBP12.50 LTD) GBP20.50 Night out Fee (2 or 3 nights out per week)
Shift: Mon- Fri: 04:00-06:00 Starts. Average 10 - 12 Hour Shift - Some Nights Out.
The Benefits:
This is a genuine opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate with pay rates from GBP10.50 per hour PAYE. As an approved JAUPT Driver CPC training centre we offer our drivers free training after a qualifying period, a driver referral bonus scheme, average 10 - 12 hours per day and welcome PAYE and Ltd company drivers. Encore have also rolled out new initiatives such as the approved driver scheme which allows loyal drivers to build up performance points to trade in for free uniform and CPC training. Candidates can also benefit from the driver training scheme which could see drivers upgrade their licence with help from Encore!
The Job:
* New fleet of LGV C+E Vehicles
* 1-3 drops per day
* Building products delivered to Builders Mearchants and sites
* Some nights out - some are pre planned, and some are not, so always carry your gear.
* Most deliveries unloaded by forklift truck
* Drivers sometimes required to do some handball as some stock is too large to go on a pallett despite being very light weight
* This company look after their drivers well, and leaves them to get on with their work
* Some opportunities for permanent positions
* Monday to Friday only, 10 - 12 hours per day
* Paperwork must be filled out correctly for all deliveries
The Candidate:
Reliable, flexible and able to demonstrate excellent communication skills are a key attribute to this position. You will be able to keep calm under pressure, have good customer service skills and have an eye for detail. You will have full drivers CPC qualification. Minimum 24 months driving experience for insurance purposes and no more than 6 points for minor offences. You will have a good working knowledge of drivers hours legislation and an understanding of RT(WT)R.
